I am not sure you are right about using the same key more than once on the same computer. It seems to me that a device (physical hardware system) might include a single drive in the specification of the device being used under the Vista EULA (see snip below). In this regard, the EULA indicates, for example, that a "hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate device." I found out that a blade is as follows (Wikipedia):
