okay not sure if this will help you at all but being annoyed i went searching for
answers on the windows vista community forum and found someone who was having similar
problems they said their problems were apparently caused by an outdated version of
some nero showtime, but updating nero solved their problem, i have nero so i updated
mine and have not had any problems so if u have nero, the latest version is 7.7.5.1
Nero 6 has compatibility issues even in XP mode.

this guy also mentioned that after getting
this fixed he still had no thumbnails on dvd mpg2 files and hadnt figured out how
to fix that, now there was someone else on this same post who said something about
his problem being with some ligos mpg filter that he said was located in the system32
folder, the file was called lmpgspl.ax, he also mentioned there were a couple other
ax related files and he said he unregistered these files and his problem was solved
so i did not or have not found this file on my computer so anyways i hope this helps
ya. Jen
Maybe this will help some of you with rundll32.errors... there are many others fixes but 99% relate to incompatibility issues...from older programs..
also some divx codes in older avi's are not vista compatible... GSpot is recommended to test and see if you have the required codec installed. and
sherlock is recommended for checking codecs, and divxfix to help fix corrupt avi files... they also mention most errors are NOT VISTA problems but 3rd party badly written codecs and programs..along with unsigned drivers...
