Hi everybody!

I'm running Vista Ultimate, tried to play a DivX movie with the WMP 11, but it just showed the black screen and nothing more. Installed K-lite Mega Codec Pack, DivX Pro 6.5.1 and Vista Codec Pack - everything just the same. Moreover, after trying to open a file from the WMP it hangs up and doesn't react to anything (but it doesn't appear to be 'not responding'). It doesn't play ordinary MPEG files either. The only type of files it supports is the MP3.

And there's another bug. If I close the WMP with the cross in the upper corner, it continues running (a process in the task manager), and it won't load anymore. In order to run it again I have to kill the process in the task manager, and only after that will it start.

So, whats the problem with the system?

Of course, I can use the DivX Player that comes with the DivX Pro Codec, but it doesn't play DivX files that are more than 1 Gb (is it a bug of the DivX Player? or Vista's one?)
