I'm with you ewan.
I had a driver that Vista warned about constantly. But, it would not let me remove it either.
The machine uses an Intel dual core cpu with 1 GB ram, yet all apps ran noticeably slower. Most of all though, even though I turned of security messages on my Vista Business edition, I still received warnings incessantly. I even received one saying that my Logitech mouse needed permission to complete the task. . . my mouse needed permission. . . unbelievable.
I pulled the drive, bought another, and reinstalled XP Pro. At some point, perhaps after a service pack, I'll pop the Vista drive back in and give it another go. Until then, I'm happy to get my XP back. :-)
