Hi Friends:
I decided to try the CompletePC Backup routine today--well almost all of it. So, I created a (full) 5384 disk image on an external firewire using this procedure. The process worked very well although no options were given. The file size is about the same as the file sizes I get when I make (full) disk images of my XP drive--which using Ghost's recommendations applies some compression. So, I imagine CompletePC Backup applied some compression. Being able to make restore images is very important to me since, once I get a drive working well, I want to hang on to it.
After making my 5384 image, I started up with the 5384 disk I had made from my downloaded ISO file to investigate the restore options. And, everything one would want to see was there. I stopped one step short of restoring--sort of like screeching to a stop at the edge of the grand canyon.
