I don't think your issue is the dvd drive, but the driver for the IDE controller. If you have a motherboard CD look for a folder named IDE, it should have the driver for the IDE controller; insert the disk when asked by Vista. If that doesn't work, check the motherboard manufacture website for updated drivers. |
