Software Recommendatons--64-Bit

Hi Guys and Gals:

I am looking for software recommendations of any kind for my 64-bit installation. I have so many installations that its hard to keep everything installed at once or otherwise installed consistently with the EULA's. I am trying to emphasize some very good free software so that eventually I can make transitions from the costly varieties. Convenience is the issue more than cost.

crabby, I know that you have DVD player (free) and ISO burning software (free), but I can't remember what they are. Do you know any free that will play DVD Audios? Please let me know if anyone's recommendations for free software have adds, or other undesirable features, that must be suffered.

Also, has anyone tried Photoshop on 64-bit? I have no problem with Photoshop on my laptop, but have a few PS-problems on my 32-bit desktop installations. Is there any basic free Photo editing software? I think there is but I can't remember its name and have no idea how it would work with Vista in general. I don't need to do much in the way of photo editing on my 64-bit drive, but I would like to be able to resize images accurately and to add text to images.

Is there any 64-bit software that anyone recommends--costly or otherwise?
