Yes, like Znod mentioned, the 'Custom Installation" allows for just the driver to be installed. I just don't see a need for the software and it takes resources that I can use for other applications. An the answer is no, you don't have to uninstall the older driver, the ATI application will remove the older driver before installing the new one. You may want to close any other application, including your antivirus software, before proceeding with the installation. I always do and hardly ever have issues with drivers installation. |
