Thanks for the prompt advice, however I'm attempting to install over XP Home, XP runs without issue and all updates are installed. When attempting to install Vista, everything seems to run well until the 1 st reboot, I'm wondering if the non paged area may refer to memory in use by system graphics, my base system is a compaq presario, with an ATI sapphire radeon 9550 installed, but the motherboard has no setting to disable onboard graphics. Could the issue be with the 32mb system ram still available to the unused onboard graphics? Any ideas on disabling the onboard graphics, in particular disabling the use of shared memory?
I'll check the HP website myself again now, but any input greatly appreciated.
