You can try the following: Right-click Computer and select properties > Click Device Manager > Expand DVD/CD-Rom drives > Right-click the drive and select uninstall > Restart your PC.
Vista should reinstall the hardware once started. Verify it's installed and try inserting a CD or DVD. |
