airman is on a distinguished road
Asus CUV266 P-3 1 gig instal

I myself also got brave and installed my version of vista Premium on the old XP box with the Intel P-3 Coppermine 1 gig with ATI 9200 LE video and 1.5 gig of PC 2100 ram and aopen sound and a 20 gig HD, took a very long time to install and the first time around I got an error at 65% installing files, so I said try it again this time when it came to the pick were you want the install I clicked advance and format this time it went all the way through to final boot in about 1hour and 45 min. compared to the 45 min for a C2D I have installed on in the past. No aero just Vista Basic, but it still looks very nice and when I ran the compatability wizard it said no drivers for the video card but there they were installed, and it running a 46 inch big screen Sony TV just fine from the DVI to HDMI. This install I am trying Nod32, Ad-aware 2007 and Windows Firewall for security so far everything is just great. So it can be run on old systems with the right prep and forethought with a little upgrades it would run even better, and my rating is a 1 on the scale. The uac I am getting used to and not having all the other features missing that are in the Business and Ultimate version are not that big a deal but I can see were it wouold bother a lot of people.
