I use acronis because it is a totally reliable once you have made validated and tested the backup by restoring it You will always be able to restore to this point
I keep the original backup with registration details on a DVD to restore even from a blank hard drive all you have to do is boot from the bootable disc you make with the program and run restore you will be back to the point you started at in less than 30 minutes
as far as I am concerned its the best thing since sliced bread as we old an's say it does not matter what I do to the computer I can restore to any one of three copies I have the original XP pro , VISTA 32bit, VISTA 64 bit with registration details all saved plus later updates as separate backup files they fill most of 500gig hard drive I have just for this saves hrs upon hrs of work in the 27 years i have now been doing this its the best I have ever found. |
