Best of my Knowledge is HP-Compaq still sends a Manual with their Laptop(s) ... and I never seen any SWEAR words from Buster.

You might also make sure you have your OEM KEY (written down) .. then download the Official Authorized Version of Vista... make a Bootable DVD, then if you do not want to use the "hidden partition restore function" included you can simply Boot to DVD and Clean install with NO KEY then add the OEM Key and be Legit.

You can also call HP or Compaq and have them send you a copy of the OEM for normally "Shipping and Handling" UK might be different. This info should also be included in the manual which came with your Laptop. Normally OEM DVD's do not need a KEY to install, it is added by OEM so that you do not need a KEY..

Maybe the UK does not furnish all the same that comes with the USA versions.
