New Year, New PC

Every year i buy a new computer and this year is no different. Might sound a bit strange but its just one of those thing i do.....dunno why Anyways i gave my current machine away to a friend as a birthday present last night and now i have ordered my new computer. As you can see i build my own systems because its customized to my needs and its cheaper than buying a manufacture PC.

Total cost was a bargain price of £176 and 85 new British pence No bad eh?

Kingston 2GB DDR2 533MHz/PC2-4200 RAM

£26.16

MSI 945GCM5-F V2 Socket 775 onboard VGA 8 channel audio mATX Motherboard

£30.99

Lancer Silver Full Aluminium Mid Tower Case

£15.40

Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.20GHz Socket 775 800FSB 2MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor with Intel Heatsink and Fan.

£74.93

Western Digital WD800JD Caviar SE 80GB 7200RPM SATAII 8MB Cache

£29.37

I have kept my Nvidia 7200 GS because the Intel onboard sounds a bit sucky and i have tons of DVD writers laying about. So should serve me well till 2009, will probably get a quad core next year and an 8800 as the prices will be a fraction of what they are now in 2009.

So i will be getting this some time next week and i will be installing a 30 day trial of Vista Home premium until i can buy a full copy, but thats only around £70 if i get the upgrade edition.
