Are you a member of a domain. I think things work differently if so. Anyway, most are not domain members. Regardless, I have not seen your problem before. I have searched and cannot find reference to the problem. When I get in this position, I fall back on doing a repair intstall of Vista. You will need an install DVD. I am not sure if an upgrade DVD will do. |
