The disk/key thing should not be an issue unless, perhaps, the disk is an OEM. Even then things are likely to be OK on this frontier. When I did a dual boot with Vista32/Raid 0 and Vista64 on a separate drive, I took the easy way. I unplugged the two raid drives when I installed Vista64. You might want to use this, perhaps, easier approach. I am not sure how to help you get from where you are to where you want to be at this point. I'll think about it.
