Yes that is the disc but it may or may not need that disc if you do the file repair with scannow. Is the disc you have a restore disc not a full OEM or retail disc like you would buy from a computer store. I am not that familiar with the store bought systems like Dell and the such i have always build my own desktops and do not have a lappy yet. I would think it works you said until you booted back up so what changed from shutdown to boot back up that is someplace to start. If you have a complete install disc you could still do a repair install and not lose any information but it is still good to back up any important info before hand. Plus compare you setting between the two systems and see if anything in IE7 is set different on the one system then the other.
