Does anyone know why this is happening? Suggestions from other people include installing service pack 1 and refreshing the desktop, done these no effect. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Many thanks for your time.
I am not sure if this works on vista 64-bit ( mine is 32-bit home premium). I don't see why not, though. Try this : --
Right click on the desktop> choose Personalize> left panel, click Change Desktop Icons> click Recycle Bin(full), click Change Icon> again click Recycle Bin(full), click OK> click Recycle Bin(empty),Change Icon> again click Recycle Bin(empty),click OK > click APPLY, then OK.
If this works, when you've deleted something, your recycle bin icon will show full, and if you emptied the content, you'll hear a sound, and the bin is now empty. Does it work ?
