Thanks Znod, i tried system restore - and im sure kaspersky s the culprit. I uninstalled Kaspersky AV (which was interuppted asking for admin rights) before the system restore, and when i restored the system to a previous date, KAV was back with all its folders! I uninstalled KAV completely again, and the system restore got back the uninstalled program. I dont understand how the system restore was able to bring back the whole uninstalled program! Now KAV is in my system asking for the activation code whenever i do a restart. The sidebar and WMP are back to normal. But there's no wireless assistant even after the restore (do i have to install any drivers?). Are there ways to completely (without any traces!) uninstall KAV ? |
