Minimum Requirements for Aero Glass

I put a PC together about 10 months ago. It has a 775 Abit motherboard with a 3.2 Intel Processor. I actually built the PC for only a couple hundred bucks.

When I received my new PC (X2 3800+) I retired the Intel PC to the kids room. Because of the GPU, it wouldn't run Aero so yesterday I installed an EVGA e-GeForce 7600 GS card (previously purchased) to the box so that the kids could run video games.

I thought that this would be all that I need for Aero to work but I guess not because Aero still is still not enabled.

The PC only has 512 mb of memory. Is that my problem or will Aero work with only 512? I know that you are supposed to use a minimum of 1 gb of memory but in searching for the minimum specs, I am only seeing people talking about the video cards but not really saying about the memory.

My other two PCs run Aero perfectly but they already had 1 gb or more of memory.

Does anyone have any experience to share on this???
