I don't know whether this is just a Vista issue or whether it is an inherent bug with WMP11, but all that seems to happen when trying to update tags through the media library is that WMP11 completely f*%$'s it up and then cannot even talk to the file anymore.

This has now happened with various files which are no different to the rest of my files(recorded using same software, settings, etc).

I have seen this kind of issue once before(with crappy sony "sonicstage") where the program just randomly decided that it couldn't read certain file; even though every other application i had(Musicmatch, Winamp, WMP10, Creative Media Organizer) had no problems.

I have not as yet installed my favourite program(Winamp) but will avoid tagging with WMP11 until they get that one sorted. Hopefully it hasn't corrupted the files.
