Yep, Texas hold em is poker. The game has become so popular in the US that various TV championships series are devoted to it. The rules are a bit much to get into (see crabby's post also though), but they involve dealing card in a sequence, some face up, and betting after every deal. And, Texas hold em is big online. Funny, Bridge, for example, and many other card games are big gambling games too. But Texas hold em would not be a game without betting--since the power of bluffing and other stragegies are so dependent of betting. |
