Amazing, how often we find vista style.
Of course, it looks better, than the fairy tale meadow and the bonbon buttons.
A bit more serious, as known from Mac OS X.
I hope, Vista allows to reduce transparancy, on Mac the transparancy is almost on the pull down menus and pretty subtle.
EDIT: Yes, less transparancy is possible
