I can't remember what I wrote, but key-logger software is a kind of spyware. But I'm not sure if an anti-virus, anti-spy or firewall can block it for sure. My impresion is that it will, but having an anti-key-logger will sure provide better protection as hackers are getting more sophistticated.
I know many people know what a key-logger is, but for those that don't know, a key-logger software is a spyware that records a user keyboard strokes. It's designed to view a PC user's nformation. Not all keyloggers or recorders are software based, as some keyloggers hardware can be attached between the PC and keyboard. Companies can easily place such a device to keep track of online activities.
