3. Security & privacy
Security and privacy Encrypted keystrokes for maximum security
All new Logitech cordless keyboards now include secure encryption that protects what you type. This is useful if you are working with private information or if you want complete peace-of-mind when using your cordless keyboard. Logitech is the only company making cordless keyboards that securely encrypt data using a secret key, to protect it even if it is intercepted using professional equipment.
How does it work?
You can easily switch the encryption mode on or off, using our keyboard feature control panel. During the process, you're asked to enter a given 16-digit key. Secured transmission is then turned on, even if your reboot or turn off your PC. The odd to have a similar key on any other system is similar to finding someone with your exact same DNA code - virtually nihil. We take your privacy seriously, so that you don't have to worry about it.
Once encryption enabled, the radio connection is still able to easily assimilate even the fastest typing pace. You will never overcome the capacities of the encrypted radio transmission.
* Secure encryption provides you with advanced privacy with no noticeable impact on performance
* It can easily be switched on or off at any time
