Sounds like Vista is going to be a big step up from XP in terms of security.

After months of delay, the Windows Vista operating system will be introduced for corporate customers in November and for consumers in January.
Computer security professionals say Vista should enable Microsoft's customers to worry less about hacker attacks, although not worrying at all doesn't appear to be an option.
"I'm not saying there won't be any security flaws in Vista, but there will be fewer and they will be less severe," said Eric Schultze, chief security architect at Shavlik Technologies, a security software firm in Roseville, Minn, who has been testing Vista for months. "An attack that might have taken over your computer when you were using Windows 2000 or Windows XP might only crash your browser software in Vista."
