It could simply be that you are impatient
Many people who have SATA drives experience a 'freeze' of up to a few minutes between screens during the installation process.
I simply suggest you get to that blue wavy background again and then go make a cup of tea
If after 10 minutes still nothing has happened then post back
PS: There is no sata issue once vista is installed
