I've installed Vista Ultimate 64 on my Ferrari 4005 notebook. Everything was OK, till I tried to install a couple of utilities from a CD. I noticed that my DVD-Ram was not shown in the explorer!!! In device manager, it sees the Ram drive but having a notification saying something like ..."this device information in the registry, fails to operate the drive..."
Apparently the OS itself modified the registry! I'm curious whether this happened to anybody else. I checked the BIOS and Ram-Drive was there, so I reinstalled Vista 64 smoothly, after installation I checked Device Manager, voila! ram drive is there (Mat****a UJ-845s)...
Then I installed Office 2007, Nero, Vista Manager 1.08, Acrobat Reader, and guess what after rebooting ram drive was not there... Any suggestions?
