Windows DreamScene Content Pack section: windows, for your questions: IT forum, 14.3.2007 Even though DreamScene is still technically a preview release, Microsoft has just posted a little Content Pack featuring 4 new animated backgrounds. Windows DreamScene is currently available only as a preview version, but many of you have chosen to install it. In recognition of your interest, we accelerated our schedule to release a Content Pack that contains four video backgrounds, which are now available on Windows Update. The four videos are: * A field of thistle, with a bee gathering pollen * The rushing water of a forest stream * A streetlamp reflected in a puddle, with softly falling rain * Orange wisps flowing in a computer-generated scene We're offering these video backgrounds only to users who have installed the Windows DreamScene Preview. However, the Content Pack will continue to be available when the final version of DreamScene is released, so don't worry about installing the preview just so you can obtain them. The preview version is an unsupported release; it is not appropriate for users who are uncomfortable with installing prerelease software. If you've installed the Windows DreamScene Preview, click Check for updates in Windows Update to see the Content Pack, which is offered as an Ultimate Extra. We plan to release additional content sometime after the final version of Windows DreamScene is released. For now, enjoy these four videos, plus the “aurora” content that was installed with the preview version. Plus, don’t forget you can use your own WMV and MPEG videos! Filed under: Ultimate, Extras, DreamScene, Desktop, WaveZero source: windowsultimate.com I show 3 different DreamScene Previews installed and None of the above show up. I have one video. I ask OK what went wrong...? The answer back is "Keep trying" --------------------------------- My server was finally activated about 3:30PM with the new Videos.. http://windowsultimate.com/blogs/aar...e-preview.aspx Questions about DreamScene - Answers here:

I have the 4 new DreamScenes installed and they are great. However, I'm not getting any sound with them. Presume that part isn't working yet. Am I correct? I have a sound problem with my video capture card "Black Magic - Intensity" in that, when capturing video sound (using Intensities "Media Express")is great, when recording the signal the sound goes away. The file created has sound when played back with WMC. When trying to playback the file with Intensities "Media Express" there is no sound. I thought the DreamScene lack of sound was going to help me track down this problem, but if there is no sound with DreamScene then I'm back to square one. Any ideas out there? I have a Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, ASUS P5N32-E SLI Motherboard. Jim |

| It must be assumed that if playing X one with WMC then X one has sound. if you get not sound with a different program, you have to assume the SOUND CODEC is not installed for the second program because X one does have sound.
