I’d like to share with you my way of getting vista/techy news: I use gadgets for this (not devices, but software gadgets for Google Desktop and Vista Sidebar). It is really productive, they are compact but informative. I tried a lot of such gadgets and finally use Visual News and RSS To Speech from here: http://desktop.google.com/plugins/i/rsstospeech.html and here: http://www.apexoft.com/gadgets.html
