Internet Explorer 8 will be released as a beta test version later this year, according to a Microsoft source. Windows XP is apparently included in the plans for the new web browser. Few details are known about the forthcoming version 8 of Internet Explorer. But sources are now saying it will be released for testing after Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is made available. The release date of the latter has been put back to later this year, TheHotfix reports. Advertisement According to the Microsoft source, two versions of IE8 will be released, one for Windows Vista and one for Windows XP SP2 or SP3. The version for Windows Vista will include extra security functions that cannot be included in the Windows XP version due to technical differences. source: mstn.homedns.org

| Apart from security what will IE8 do better? why don't they include some essentials like a spell check and an auto form filler. It would be better than downloading all these unofficial add-ons.

| I really do not know what you want in Google ToolBar. but I for one 1. Spell check 2. translate ( I'm always reading chinese and japanese) 3. THE BEST SEARCH ENGINE in the WORLD.. those 3 are enough for me.... 4. I can also send to Gmail.. 5. The popup button is so/so just like Vista popup button. soso. IMHO if everybody used GOOGLE Search, about 45 to 60% of all WHY, WHAT IF, and errors XP or Vista Errors can be answered by typing the correct search then READING ... the master search is what do you type to get the best response... it simply is a learning curve... and Google Tool Bar works perfect in Vista... every version I have tested. sample: type linksys and cisco then type cisco and linksys to see the difference.
