| I am using 100.59 with my geforce 8800 gts. They haven't been great to be honest the performance ain't that bad considering vista is brand new but the fact that on occasions vista will report that the driver has stopped working and has recovered means there is defenitly something wrong with the driver. The nforce drivers work fine for me just disappointed in the gf80 drivers.

Man I've have had that issue with every driver at least once except the 100's up to date, I cant be sure but it usually happens during the setup of another driver or application or pop up message from vista. Lets hope it improves soon. I am sure Nvidia has a stick up their Bot Bots as there are many of us waiting in great anticipation!!! |

| Well, according to this article dated 12 Feb, things should get better in regards to nVidia drivers; and I believe it will: Here's an excerpt: "Microsoft and nVidia have teamed up to promote the graphical capabilities of the new Windows Vista operating system by announcing a full spectrum of Vista-Ready chips." http://www.itweek.co.uk/crn/news/217...s-vision-vista

Used uninstall to remove the drivers on FX 5500, popup stating AERO was no longer being used, size moved to 800x600, used normal have disk, and selected (several times I have tried) from v 97.46 to v100.59. even time about 1/2 thru, a popup stating NO COMPATIBLE HARDWARE FOUND, the install reverts back to v96.86 MS Approved drivers. Have even uninstalled the Video Card, and used have disk on reboot, still it always comes back to v96.86 MS signed drivers. unless MS updates there site I guess I'm stuck. Thanks for all the assistance..

| Sorry Snuffy, but there's probably nothing you can do for now. I had the same issue with my Radeon X550 graphics card about a month ago. No matter how hard I tried to replace the driver with the one from the ATI website, it just didn't work; even though the driver on the ATI website was supposed to be the latest one. I gave up, until last week when I activated the final version of Vista. I downloaded and installed the driver without any issues at all. So your issue will eventually will be taken care of.
