The Inquirer article states that GDDR4 is Code name "Pele". GDDR4 is Graphics RAM. Samsung has limited the production of this RAM and the article states that this is a catastrophic blunder.
Samsung by limiting the amount of GDDR4 has changed the PC Video landscape by limiting the number of Graphics Cards that will be produced. If they somehow overcome this shortfall and the highend highspeed cards become cheap and readily available then on with the Graphics wars that we all have become so addicted to, only time will tell.
If Samsung makes no effort to overcome this "shortage" then look out... We will probably be in for an evolution of Video Graphics.
The news and forum babble that I have been reading points to major change in 2009.
