You might even get both Vista and Office which would be more like $900 per hour. Well, I don' t know if it would take just one hour but $900 per day ain't to shabby either..

The only information that I have is what is on the UK MSDN Blog site. I would just keep tabs on that blog. I think that the announcements will be closer to that date.

It will be on January 19-20 . I did see on the blog that they are giving away a copy of Vista or Office 2007 if you actually attend the launch in London. So if you could attend that you would have a better chance. However, I don't know if you can do that.

Of course your argument with your parents would be that by getting Vista or Office, you can do your schoolwork better....

I "finally" got the email saying "You earned your free gift" today. In the email it says Office 2007 can not be shipped until it has been released to manufacturing and we can expect our gift in 6-8 weeks from that date. I only signed up for Office, as I couldn't get the vista offer to work (net jammed) so I don't know about Vista, but I'm excited to see that email, and office is on its way shortly. Thanks mo, for keeping us informed.

I found the Vista confirmation today in my inbox. I was a little worried because I had completed the webcasts and signed up for Office too.

A little while later the Office one came along with the dreaded W-9 notice because if you receive both gifts, you are over the $600 amount for gifts.

I think in a way you could dispute the amount the gifts are worth considering that the Vista will come in a plain shipping envelope (not the beautiful packaging) and Office is download only. But hey, I am grateful that I was able to receive the programs. I doubt that I will get dinged too much on the taxes.

The shipping is supposed to be at the end of the week and early next week.
