PowerTogether Vista and Office is shipping this week!

For those of us who participated in the PowerTogether Vista and Office 2007 offer, the disks and product keys will be shipping this week according to Mark Brown @ www.Channel9.msdn.com. He works for Microsoft.

Here is what he had to say:
btw, everyone.

We should be shipping late this week and early next week.

Apologies for the delay. We had an issue over the holidays and with most everyone out we had to wait until people returned to get resolved.

So sit tight. We're putting them together and slapping shipping labels on 'em folks

I should be receiving a fully licensed copy of Vista Business and a product key for Office 2007 Pro.

Those are great news; can't wait for my Vista and Office 2007 product key as well. I'll be looking forward for the email.

We get Vista Business and Office 2007 Pro.

Some only opted for one or the other because of tax liability.

Hey Crabby,

Are you going to the Vista Launch? At most of the launches they are giving away a copy of Office 2007 and Office Groove 2007 to each attendee.

Unfortunately I have NO WAY of getting to the launch So instead I will have to fill Microsofts pockets with my hard earned cash The home premium edition of vista will cost me the equivalent of $430

Why so much? Isn't Europe version scaled back some because of some type of deal between MS and the European Union? Is that is the case, it should cost less, not more.

At $10.00 you should eat it real slow. I was reading somewhere that people in UK were upset about the price of Vista, but what I didn't believe was that the article mentioned that Vista would cost an average 85% more than in the U.S. It was hard for me to believe.

But nevertheless its true! Our economy works almost on a $=£ so what ever you buy there is the same here but in £ which are about twice the value of the dollar! And I am a trainee so my salary sucks. And I just had christmas Its going to be one hell of a lean month!!! Nevertheless I am glad you are getting your free copies esp considering they arent even the lowest versions. Very nice for free! (Think I'll have to move to the US

Ahh Crabby,

There might still be a way for you to score a copy of Vista Ultimate or Office 2007 (or both).

See this link:
http://blogs.msdn.com/markjo/archive...evelopers.aspx

You watch the Launch via the internet and answer a couple of questions.
Only 1000 will get the offer...
