I believe most of us agree that Vista Starter is as plain as it can be and not worth its price when compare to Home Premium. But since this are the holidays, I think Vista Starter makes a perfect gift. One can give it to someone as a gift and the recipient of the gift can upgrade to a better version for less money than purchasing the full version.
