Technology Guarantee Programs For Microsoft Office & Windows

For those purchasing a boxed retail copy of Windows XP and/or Office 2003, Microsoft is offering a “minimal cost” upgrade to Windows Vista or Office 2007 software. The purchase must be made from a retailer or authorized Microsoft seller, and product must be purchased from October 26, 2006 to February 28, 2007. Mail must be postmarked by March 31, 2007.

Out of 81 countries listed, 13 can complete the documentation online, while the other countries must download and complete a redemption form.

I tried the online request, but it didn’t take me anywhere…so I’m assuming the site is no yet taking any requests. I downloaded a form and it shows a Shipping & Handling fee of $19.99, but no other prices were included. It does provide a list of eligible products though.

One thing I noticed about the Technology Guarantee Programs For Microsoft Office & Windows is that it doesn't include upgrading from Win XP Media Center to Vista Home Premium. See snip.
