| BitTorrent unveils Delivery Network Accelerator service By Jose Vilches, TechSpot.com Published: October 9, 2007, 12:03 PM EST Quote:
BitTorrent DNA is a peer-accelerated content delivery service via downloads or streams that provides fast downloads for large files such as movies, games, software programs. Its first customer, Brightcove, will use it to distribute streaming video programs over the Internet. Similar to what BitTorrent currently does, DNA will let enable users to share large files. The difference, however, is that it does this more transparently through a new client that handles everything when a user comes to a DNA enabled site, allowing them to share files with others halfway through watching a movie or downloading a file. BitTorrent claims its Delivery Network Accelerator will mean big savings for media companies, allowing publishers to hold on to more of their ad revenue. But News is News -
