Vista SP1 - Kills Millions of Pirates

report in xxx forum that: "went to the AMD Microsoft tech tour and learned some nice stuff. With SP1 the activation process will change big time...

WGA will scan the computer for any boot manager that fakes the boot up. ie-vloader."

this means bb vistaloader, bootmgr and paradox will fail ... then go into grossy reduced function...
rumors are it then fails to boot...

Just wondering, if they are changing the activation method, will you maybe have to reactivate ur copy after installing the service pack?

If your copy is LEGIT No, you should not have to RE-Activate. SP-1 is rumored to KILL DE-ACTIVATE VISTA. It can also make it NON BOOTABLE.
during Beta Test the Chineese hack for Business, was totally BOMBed, and Enterprise was also BOMBed. That means if for any reason, your system reboots it is DEAD. The only way to redo was REINSTALL - Clean - Upgrade did not work.
The four -4- mentioned HACKS are the MOST POPULAR...earlier hacks were busted via upgrades, or blacklisted KEYS. Most earlier versions were simply limited in use... some where 100% dead. Like XP SP2 you had to have SP1 to upgrade. SP1 nuked some versions of XP. Vista will be the same...only harder to bypass by hackers. This is the easiest way to insure your Vista is LEGIT.

i think its a waste of time on microsofts part changing the activation process and killing all the current cracks/hacks used in vista because someone will ALWAYS come up with a way around it. soon as SP1 is out it will probably be cracked by the next day, these guys are unstoppable.

wasnt the current activation method ment to be hack proof? but it was hacked.

i think microsoft should find and hire the people who make the cracks because maybe they could make it un-crackable, if you get me.

Vista SP1 Verified

http://weblog.infoworld.com/techwatc...es/012316.html

June 07, 2007
Vista SP1 verified
Microsoft officials remain mum on the schedule and details for an initial service pack update for the company's new Vista operating system, but the software maker has begun openly referencing the planned release in documentation on its Web site.

While Microsoft watchers have been predicting the arrival of an SP1 release for Vista since prior to the launch of the OS in late 2006, Redmond is offering very little guidance on what its plans for the update might be.

However, the company has gone so far as to start preparing its partners for the eventual arrival of Vista SP1.
================================================== =
According to this story by our own IDG News Service, sources close to Microsoft have confirmed that the company is currently testing SP1.

The blog poster, former Microsoft employee Ethan Allen, owner of the The Hotfix blog and Web site is predicting that SP1 will include device driver and software compatibility technology that many users had hoped would be available in the OS from the start.

Among them could be support for third-party USB and Firewire devices such as digital cameras, in particular products from Sony Corp. that have been having compatibility problems with Vista, Allen said.
