Wal-Mart to Sell Broadband Access October 9 - 12:45 PM ET Wal-Mart's presence in rural American life continues to grow. Today, the company announced it will begin selling Hughes Net Broadband service at 2,800 stores across the nation, with a notable presence in rural areas where terrestrial broadband services are still largely unavailable. Folks I have used 3 different Satellite services in the USA... None of them are ANY GOOD... pure bunk... 1. Starband, 2. DirecWay, 3. BlueSky later called WildBlue. Hi cost, Hi Installation, total lack of honesty, they limit/block access to many sites, they have FULL PACKET control(other wise you can not tweak), Very limited on SPEED, they also BandWidth Monitors and every bit counts. and they THROTTLE speeds - Up and Down when you exceed 70% of your monthly quota, and at times they actually SHUT your link DOWN until your average goes back to lower than 50% monthly quota. BEWARE any where in the WORLD that has WAL-Mart stores.
