felix8406 will become famous soon enough

How about CD-Rom drives, sound cards, wired keyboard and mouse, regular non-chargeable batteries.

Hell to wired keyboards and mice!
I don't even think wireless keyboards will be around by then, just all by touch.

Actually I've just realized felix does make a good point as you said, I can't remember the last time I saw a sound card.

As for Microsoft Surface, from what I've seen does really look like the future of home computing but hey you never know Apple might crate something simular with their Macs no?

Built-in sound cards, as opposed to built-in graphics cards, has taken over the standard PCI sound card we used be accustomed to. I do think the standard hard drive is also about to take a big hit. Flash type storage will catch up, probably sooner than later, to the point where moving parts inside the PC will become a thing of the past.

I agree. Drives will be both tiny and capacious.
Interesting thread on blogspot too, Felix.. I don't have membership yet, so that's why I commented here.

Thank you much. You and others here are more than welcome to stop by for a little "read". Promise to keep my posts short. By the way, anyone should be able to comment.
