Welcome to the site, Vista is like marmite, you either love it or hate it. Personally i love it! I could never go back to Windows XP because so many things would be missing.

But good luck with your new PC purchase and if you have any problems we are all here to help.

If you have any questions about Vista fire away

Cheers

Very good way of describing Vista: Marmite!
Good luck leddfutt with your Vista pc, as Cook said if you have any questions or problems let us know.

In glad you mentioned that because today I was thinking about the two people observing ants at work; not ProCookie, but the other ants.

The first one felt amazed at their hard work as they prepared for the cold winter. Sure we all should learn from ants.

The second thought ants were stupid because of their struggled to carry their loads over obstacles instead of taking the easy route around them. Sure we don’t want to be like ants.

If you are planning to get a PC, get it with Vista already installed. It doesn’t make sense to get a PC today with Win XP installed and then decide a few months down the road that you want Vista. And if you need some help, we are just a post away.

But let me tell you though, I'm with the person that felt we all should learn from ants.

I agree with Felix on getting a system with Vista pre-installed. That's what I did and (aside from a minor driver issue, fixed with an update) it has been flawless. It's much easier than upgrading later on.
I'm with the first person in the ant story too.
