I'm Michelle, and I've been interested in Windows Vista since a few months ago when I heard that it will have voice recognition built in. I knew I'd have to investigate it further, as I rely heavily on voice recognition due to physical disability. It's going to be difficult to get accustomed to a new system after using DragonDictate for so long, but it will be worth it in order to use any computer with Vista instead of having to install a separate program, train the system, etc. I look forward to its release and hope my current computer hangs on until then!

| Welcome, Michelle! Great to have you here. It was a bit disappointing to hear today that Vista is delayed until January, so you'll have to sweet-talk your computer into hanging on for just a little longer. Hope to see you around here often! ![]()

| Thanks for the welcome! Yep, I was disappointed as well to hear it would take so long, but I guess I'd rather they took their time and produced a good product as opposed to rushing something to market that would fail the users miserably. I just hope it's worth the wait. As for my aging computer (actually not that old... only a year and a half, but Dell is already no longer stocking parts for it!), fortunately I can get simple repairs done in exchange for chocolate chip cookies
