| Hello! Why have you decided on 32 bit when your system fully supports 64bit? And why wait a year... the os is already stable enough to retail! crabby |

| I am using the XP - Vista upgrade using a redemption form. It only gives 32bit as an upgrade. Which suits me fine in a way as it will reduce compatability issues. When I said I wont be upgrading for at least a year, I meant my HARDWARE!! Should be using Vista soon!!! When I upgrade, 64bit may be an option. P.S.What do you mean by new kernal in SP1 anyway???? |

With regard to your upgrade... when did you purchase it, and do you know why you can only redeem 32 bit version? Is it because you have the 32bit version of pro? crabby |

| Yep, it looks that way. if using a 32bit ver of Windows, you can upgrade only to another 32bit version of Windows. Win XP Home - Vista Home Basic 32bit Win XP Pro - Vista Business 32bit Win XP Media Centre - Vista Home Prem32bit (I think) To get Vista Business 64bit, you need to upgrade from XP Pro 64bit. |
