Aero and other programs

I would LOVE to use some of the Windows Vista (Home Premium) features, such as Aero and Flip 3d. However, I run a surviellence software (Geo Vision Camera's) that shuts Aero down. Is it possible to "force" Aero to work with this software? Sure would like to use Aero...
