First Scan on 5728 with with avast! Beta

Hi Friends:

I have done my first "thorough" scan on 5728 using avast! Home Beta for Vista. Avast! beta performed perfectly despite a few early problem reports (possibly cleared by now). The major advantages of this program are that it does real-time scanning and, of course, that it is free. Avast!'s disadvantage, IMO, compared to the old home version, is that one can't customize its real-time scanning modules. Here are some snips.

I had Avast installed on 5600 and when I did the upgrade to the latest build of Vista, it didn't tell me to uninstall it. After the upgrade to the latest Vista build, Avast was working smoothly.

That's . And, you are talking about the non-Beta home version, right??? I have been unable to use anything but the Beta. I like the Beta really well except, as mentioned, one can't customize the real-time modules.

I now have installed avast! Home (non-beta). The Alwil site idicates that this version is Vista compatible. I don't see any difference in it and the beta.
