| Hi All: I did my first 5384 system restore today. I was trying WindowPlosion to see if I could get Expose-like window action. The program would not open. So, I uninstalled it--receiving the message that what remained could be uninstalled by hand. So, I went to programs and started dragging the WindowPlosion folder to the trash too quickly--getting a non-responsive window. I tried a few things with the result being that I stopped the process but all my desktop icons changed size and were rearranged. As expected, a simple restart did not put things back the way they were. So, being lazy, and not wanting to figure our what all had changed, I did a system restore. It worked perfectly as far as I can tell. Everything was back as it should be, and the folder and all vestiges of WindowPlosion were gone. ![]()

| For what it's worth. I now have done many system restores--with all working perfectly. I have done no many because I continue to experiment with different XP programs.

| Yes, I've also done many system restores on XP, and was always impressed at how well that worked. Glad to hear that continues on with Vista. I'm sure I'll be needing it soon enough, since I install new programs often.
