| I'm very excited about it, but hey, I'm a geek.

| I'm very excited. I've been excited since I sniffed at it when it was called "Longhorn" and I got paul therrots(hope I spelled that right) screen captures. Then I got the beta and it's made me even more excited for it's release. There are so many things which are very good implimentations, being in IT I can't wait to see if they will be included. The no. 1 thing I love is the fact that even if the user is in the local administrative group they still don't have full access to critical windows files and folders or atleast that's what happens on my machine. So if you need the administrative power to run your apps it should be ok but you still can't screw things up by deleting the wrong files or mucking around with too much ![]() |

| yeah I think it will cause a few problems but it has great potential to prevent some problems. We had a hard time where I work with XP because we coudn't restrict user's local privileges to less than administrator or the apps wouldn't work.

| I can't exactly say that I am excited when new operating systems come out given that my old ones are working well--as they have been for years. New ones generally change my life only minutely. But, I am interested in new operating systems, and I like to have the newest. So, I am glad Vista is on its way. I'll get a copy once the lines die down.

| Well... the 5456 build has less security messages now... but all the important ones are still there, like program installation etc... I would say its more useable... just see how it keeps progressing!!! crabby |

| I was excited when XP x64 came out and really, it wasn't all that exciting. However, Vista is very exciting to me. Last January, I was invited to a Microsoft Vista party in Las Vegas where they had many laptops loaded with Vista and you could play with them as well as xBox 360. That's when for me, it started to get exciting. |
