I found a new Synpatics Touchpad driver on Dell. My touchpad now is working perfectly--all features. The touchpad is having no negative effect on anything, including our network, internet connectivity, etc.

hello i have a Synaptics touchpad in my gateway nootbook .im runing vista build 5384 and i cant get it to install drivers for it.can anyone help?

I would try to get the latest driver from Synaptics. My original did not work, but the updated driver I got from Dell works beautifully.

The newer drivers did not work for me so I uninstlled them and let vista install native drivers for it and problem solved.
