Thanks for the info... but even with the step by step from chris... he never mentioned dir /x. I simply RESTORED.. faster that way, and GUARANTEED I WILL NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE ... but IMHO it is worthless anyway.

I do thank you for finding how to undo.. I will add this to my NOTES.

To delete...Restart in safe mode, drag the folder to command prompt, get the name, type del name
Done.

This doesnt need to be done in safe mode.

Jut run cmd prompt as admin.

find the long name by typing DIR /x

Then type ren "{longname}" newfolder

This will give the folder a name and you can then delete it normally.

I agree but for people who do it I suppose its atleast a solution once they get bored of the gimmick. I wonder how restore worked as I was under the impression it didn't alter your files or folders?

RESTORE works perfect... the annoying folder is gone...

PS: I also restored to get away from the MOST ANNOYING newest Windows Live Mail Desktop Wav 2 and Wav 3... I went back to WLM Beta Desktop 8.0.1226 - Wav 2 and Wav 3 was sending over 50% or my emails in japaneese or chineese and I also was starting to rec over 50% the same...
rather hard to know what FORUMs are replying to when they are in a forign language, and the Spell Checkers for that language was not active. also I could not translate them...I did not have proper permission. therefore I went back to WLM Desktop Beta.

I care. and I also assist many people with their computer problems FREE.
and when there is some STUPID program out of HEY Try this its COOL, and then they can not remove it and it cost them $$$$ at the rate of $65 to $75 per hour. because some other site posted how to disable RESTORE or disable UAC and they only know the FORMAT and CLEAN install routine.. THAT SUKS, and I DO CARE...
and I did figure how to remove it... I used RESTORE if you would learn how to READ and UNDERSTAND, what I said...

MaDFuRiT - before you jump on with some more STUPID, SNOTTY remarks LEARN TO READ.
